Reminder; drop off and pick up is always in the upper parking lot. There are many different activities that occur throughout the year, and the school entrance should remain clear to keep the students safe.

Physicals Required for Marching Band!

Rank One is REQUIRED to be completed before any student can participate in band camp. Currently only 10% of registered marchers have been checked off as completed. Don’t wait until the last minute! Be sure to get your Marcher’s physicals completed before day 1 of band camp.

GCPS requires all students to have a completed physical to participate in the Lanier Marching Band.  Physicals must be completed with all forms submitted and verified by the school prior to day one of band camp.

A copy of the physical form is attached for your convenience. Once complete, it should be uploaded into RankOne along with signatures and health insurance information.

Directions to complete RankOne upload are as follows:

• To sign consents and upload the physicals, visit www.rankone.com/content/ or by visiting the Athletics page on the Lanier High School website. 
• If visiting Rank One, click "Parents Click Here" > Forms > Georgia > Gwinnett County Schools. Then review the instructions and click Proceed to Online Forms. 
• If visiting the Lanier High School website, scroll down the page, on the right side click the link to print the physical form.  
• Print and take this form to your doctor’s office or a clinic like Kroger's Little Clinic.
• Once completed, you will upload the form to RankOne, including your insurance information and the school will approve and add you to the roster.

Once verified, physical forms are valid for one year. If your Marcher has already completed a physical for a different activity, please double check to make sure that the form is still valid.

Guard Training Camps!

Summer Guard Training camp and dance classes have been added to the BoosterHub calendar. Check BoosterHub and the Band App for the most update to date information.

• June 4th & 5th - - Summer Guard Camp; 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• June 6th - Noir Spin Clinic; 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Optional but attendance is encouraged)
• June 18th & 25th Summer Conditioning - 12:30 - 4:30 PM
• June 23rd Dance Class - 2:30 - 4:30 PM
• July 7th - 9th - Training Camp - Times Vary

Be sure to wear comfy clothes. Bring water, lunch and a “can do’ attitude!

Noir Spin Clinic - Not Required But Encouraged!

Noir Independent will be offering a Spin Clinic at Lanier High School June 6th from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Even though this clinic is not required; it is highly encouraged! This is an exciting opportunity that is sure to attract a wide audience.

“Noir Independent Summer Clinics are designed for performers seeking to develop their skills, build confidence, and experience Noir's energy and culture. Open to all experience levels, these clinics focus on movement, equipment technique, performance quality, and ensemble training in a fun, challenging, and supportive environment. Whether you’re preparing for auditions or simply wanting to improve as a performer, our summer clinics are a great opportunity to train with Noir staff and connect with the performing arts community in Atlanta.”

Full Calendar - Absences Request Forms!

Please see the full calendar here and note conflicts now. 

• Concert-only students, please email us if you notice anything, and continue to check the calendar as we get closer to 2026-27 to note things like dress rehearsals.
• Marching band students, please note ANY season conflicts, email a director for approval, and go ahead and complete an absence request form for each.

Winds - Purchase Flip Folders!

We kindly ask all marching band students to purchase a flip folder (and lyre) for their instrument.  Here is an infographic from another band program that explains the pieces needed for each instrument.  (Some brass students may find it doable to just hold the flip folder with their non-playing hand, but a lyre is recommended.)

Summer Expectations!

Please be sure to practice your instrument, get some exercise, and check the Band app for updates.  We will send out show music for marching band students as soon as we have it so you can practice!

Volunteers - We Need You!

Band camp will be here before you know it!  We need parent volunteers to help make band camp safe, organized, and successful. Opportunities are flexible and no experience is necessary. The Lanier Bands Spirit Store is officially OPEN! 🎉Show your support for the 2026 season with new band apparel and spirit wear available through our new store with Pipe Dream Prints. The store includes a variety of items for students, parents, family members, and supporters. Orders are placed online and will be distributed through the band program once they arrive.

All orders placed by Friday, July 17th will be available for pick up at the Band Camp Performance on July 24th. All Orders placed after the 17th will be available by the first week of school.

Percussion Update!

Parents’ Night Out!

We had an awesome Parent’s Night Out in May!  If you were not able to make it, be sure to mark your calendars for June.

Band Parents’ Night Out—a relaxed, fun evening to connect, laugh, and enjoy time with the amazing community behind the band. No uniforms, no schedules, no responsibilities - just come as you are and enjoy a well-deserved night out. This is a great way for rising 9th grade parents to  meet fellow band parents and make friends!

• Great company with fellow band parents
• Bring a snack and/or cocktail (or visit one of the fine establishments downtown)
