Reminder; drop off and pick up is always in the upper parking lot. There are many different activities that occur throughout the year, and the school entrance should remain clear to keep the students safe.

2026 Leadership Announced!

Congratulations to the 2026 Leadership Team!  Thank you to everyone who interviewed and auditioned to be a part of leadership. We value each and everyone of you! You are all important members of the band family. It takes the whole band working together as a team to make us successful! We are looking forward to a great 2026 Season!

We will hold Leadership Training on April 14th and 15th from 2:30 - 5:00 PM.

Percussion Clinic!

2026 Percussionists be sure to mark your calendar for the Percussion Clinic on Monday, April 13th. The clinic will be held at Lanier High School from 4:30 to 5:45 PM. All students interested in auditioning for the 2026 Marching Band percussion positions should attend.

LOUDhorns Playing For Special Olympics!

The Loudhorns have one more gig lined up! We are playing for the GCPS Special Olympics at Lanier HS. The LoudHorns will join Louie the Longhorn and our cheerleaders as we welcome the athletes to The Ranch. Students will be excused from class briefly on Friday, April 17 to perform for this event. 

Spring Training April 18th!

Lanier High School Marching Band will hold Spring Training on April 18th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. This is a required training day for ALL 2026 Lanier Marching Band students. If you are on the fence about joining Marching Band, we strongly encourage you to come and dip your toes in to see what it’s all about before making the decision!

Following spring training we hold a parent meeting and cookout from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. This will be a great time to meet the band directors and other band families!

2026 Marching Band Registration Opens!

Marching Band Registration will open on Monday, April 20th following Spring Training. See below for details.

• April 20th - 2026 Marching Band Registration Opens - $50.00 deposit due to secure your spot for next year’s show.
• May 1st - 2026 Marching Band Registration Ends
• May 11th - Full Marching Band Student Meeting; 5:00 - 7:00 PM @ Lanier High School

Audition Dates for 2026-2027 Marching Band Season!

Lanier High School Marching band is already planning ahead for the 2026 season! See the below for days and times for upcoming clinics and auditions!

• Percussion Audition Dates:
• April 13th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• April 20th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• April 29th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• May 5th - Group Auditions; Times TBD
• May 6th - Individual Auditions; Times TBD

• Guard Audition Dates:
• April 21st - Students 9th - 11th Grade who are interested in Color Guard 2:30 - 4:30 PM
• April 23rd & 24th - Interested Middle Students only, 4:00 - 6:00 PM @ Lanier Middle School
• April 25th - ALL students 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM; followed by Parent Meeting @ 12:00 PM @ Lanier High School

Band Banquet - April 27th! 

The Band Banquet is a special evening celebrating the dedication and accomplishments of all our band students. The night will include a catered dinner from Olive Garden followed by an awards ceremony, with special recognition honoring our senior class. All band members and their families are invited to attend. Tickets are $20.

6:15 PM – Doors Open

6:30–7:15 PM – Dinner Service and Annual Recap Video Playing

7:15 PM – Awards Ceremony Begins (during dinner)

8:30 PM – Awards Ceremony Concludes

2026 Band Camp Dates and Times!

2026 Longhorn Marching Band Camp Dates have been announced. Please mark these dates on your calendar. These are required dates for the 2026 Longhorn Marching Band (winds, guard, percussion). 

Week 1 July 13-17  

Week 2 July 20-24 

Times for each camp day: 

• July 13-15 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• July 16-17 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• July 20-21 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• July 22 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• July 23 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• July 24 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Performance at 6:00 PM

Indoor Percussion Updates!

Indoor Percussion wrapped up their 2026 season Saturday, April 4th at the GIPA Regional Championships. It was a great first season marching a battery. They received many positive comments and feedback from the judges. They performed so well, they were bumped up into a higher competitive class for finals! Well done Indoor Percussion!
