Reminder; drop off and pick up is always in the upper parking lot.  There are many different activities that occur throughout the year, and the school entrance should remain clear to keep the students safe.

Check Your BoosterHub Account For Outstanding Balances! 

Band families, please take a few moments to log into BoosterHub and review your accounts for any remaining balances for the 2025-2026 year. It is imperative that all outstanding payments are completed by the end of the school year. Your prompt attention to this helps us close out our financials at the end of the school year and continue supporting the band program effectively. Thank you for your cooperation and support!

Congratulations Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion! 

Congratulations to our Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion for their amazing performances over the weekend at the SAPA Regional Championship and GIPA Alpharetta Competition.  Indoor Percussion will be performing this weekend at the GIPA Southeast Regional Finals!  While Winter Guard will have a BYE week then head to Dayton Ohio for the WGI National Finals!     

2026-2027 Leadership Interviews This Week!

Leadership interviews are taking place this week.  Be sure to check your assigned day and time.

LOUDhorns Playing For Special Olympics!

The Loudhorns have one more gig lined up! We are playing for the GCPS Special Olympics at Lanier HS. The LoudHorns will join Louie the Longhorn and our cheerleaders as we welcome the athletes to The Ranch. Students will be excused from class briefly on Friday, April 17 to perform for this event. 

Spring Training and Auditions for 2026-2027 Season!

Lanier High School Marching band is already planning ahead for the 2026 season!

• Spring Training and 2026 Registration:
• April 18th - Spring Training 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Required for all returning 2026 Lanier Marching Band students
• April 18th - Parent Meeting & Cookout 1:00 - 2:00 PM
• April 20th - 2026 Marching Band Registration Opens - $50.00 deposit due to secure your spot for next year’s show.
• May 1st - 2026 Marching Band Registration Ends
• May 11th - Full Marching Band Student Meeting; 5:00 - 7:00 PM @ Lanier High School

• Percussion Audition Dates:
• April 13th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• April 20th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• April 29th - Percussion Clinic 4:30 - 5:45 PM
• May 5th - Group Auditions; Times TBD
• May 6th - Individual Auditions; Times TBD

• Guard Audition Dates:
• April 21st - Students 9th - 11th Grade who are interested in Color Guard 2:30 - 4:30 PM
• April 23rd & 24th - Interested Middle Students only, 4:00 - 6:00 PM @ Lanier Middle School
• April 25th - ALL students 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM; followed by Parent Meeting @ 12:00 PM @ Lanier High School

Egg My Yard Fundraiser!

Let our band students make your Easter morning extra magical! Purchase our “Egg My Yard” fundraiser and our two-legged Easter Bunnies will secretly scatter colorful Easter eggs in your yard the night before your big hunt. Imagine the excitement when your kids wake up to a yard full of eggs - no late night hiding required from you!

• Available for residential homes within 5 miles of our school
• Choose empty eggs or goody-filled eggs
• Select from four delivery dates, placed between 7pm-9:30pm
• All proceeds support our amazingly talented band students

Band Banquet - April 27th! 

The Band Banquet is a special evening celebrating the dedication and accomplishments of all our band students. The night will include a catered dinner from Olive Garden followed by an awards ceremony, with special recognition honoring our senior class. All band members and their families are invited to attend. Tickets are $20.

6:15 PM – Doors Open

6:30–7:15 PM – Dinner Service and Annual Recap Video Playing

7:15 PM – Awards Ceremony Begins (during dinner)

8:30 PM – Awards Ceremony Concludes

2026 Band Camp Dates and Times!

2026 Longhorn Marching Band Camp Dates have been announced.  Please mark these dates on your calendar. These are required dates for the 2026 Longhorn Marching Band (winds, guard, percussion). 

Week 1 July 13-17  

Week 2 July 20-24 

Times for each camp day: 

• July 13-15 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• July 16-17 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• July 20-21 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• July 22 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• July 23 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• July 24 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM,  Performance at 6:00 PM

Indoor Percussion Updates!

Come out and support the Indoor Percussion at the GIPA Regional Championships this Saturday 4/4 at North Forsyth High School. Prelims performance at 9:45am.
