Reminder; drop off and pick up is always in the upper parking lot. There are many different activities that occur throughout the year, and the school entrance should remain clear to keep the students safe.

Thursday, October 9th Game Day @ The Ranch!
*Students should wait in the band HALLWAY or outside the band hallway entrance. You will not have access to the band room until 4:00pm.
4:30 pm Report Time - Students should eat before arriving at school; Grab ‘N Go style snacks will be provided
5:00 pm Loading trailers, packing equipment, loading and taking concessions items to the stadium
5:00-5:30pm Equipment Drop Pre-Game at the Stadium Band Section (flag bags, student bags, drum stands– anything you need for the game)
5:30 pm In Commons with your section (circle up)
5:45 pm Uniform Inspection
6:00 pm Warmup
6:30 pm Section Hype Time
6:45 pm Begin the walk to the stadium
7:05 pm LMB at the gate ready to march on - right hand side stadium entrance
7:10 pm Pregame “SHOW”
7:25 pm Finish fight song and fill into the stands as quickly as possible
7:30pm Kick off! Go Longhorns!!
*After the game, students are responsible for moving equipment back to the band room before being dismissed.

Free Game Admission:
For home football games, your free entry will be confirmed by your name on the Band Volunteer List provided to the Stadium Front Gate Attendants each week. Simply give your name, and they will check the list for your free admission. Lanyards will not provide free entry this year.
Chaperones:
*Please Note, chaperone volunteers must stay with the students until the end of the evening and ride home with them on the buses from games and events.
- Please report to the Band Room by 5:00 PM.
- Kristina Hargett (Color Guard Parent) will distribute the Chaperone Lanyards.
- Be sure to return your lanyard to Kristina at the end of the game as we need to reuse them each week.
Concessions:
- Your contact is Claire Sammander, VP of Concessions.
- Note: There are no lanyards for concessions this year.
- First Half Volunteers: Pre-game, 1st & 2nd quarters (Report time 5:00PM)
- Second Half Volunteers: 3rd & 4th quarters + post-game clean-up (Report time halftime)

You also receive FREE admission into the home football games! Your name will be on the Band Volunteer list at the gate.

Concessions For Home Games!
This year we implemented a rotation for Concession Volunteers for our home games. (If you enjoy volunteering with concessions, please continue to do so! We appreciate you all so much! However, concessions is one of the highest volume activities for every home game and requires a larger number of volunteers to keep things running smoothly.) Therefore, each band section has been assigned a home game for parents to volunteer and help with our concessions.
The concession rotation for our next home game will be:
HOME GAMES
Section Assigned to Volunteer for Concessions
1st half volunteers - pre-game and 1st and 2nd quarters
2nd half volunteers - 3rd and 4th quarters and post game clean-up

1st half volunteers - Brass - Sousaphone
2nd half volunteers - Brass - Baritone / Trumpet 12th grade
9th Grade Parent Reception!
All 9th grade band parents (marching band AND class only) are invited to a meet and greet reception on Tuesday, October 14th from 5:45-6:30pm. Come meet the band directors and the band booster executive board. Light refreshments will be provided. If you are able, please join us for the board meeting immediately following the reception.

Help Represent the Longhorn Band at Sugar Rush!
We’re looking for student and parent volunteers to help staff our booth at the Sugar Rush Festival! This is a fun and easy way to support the band, connect with our community, and help raise funds through our 50/50 raffle. Shifts are short, the crowd will be fun, and it’s a great chance to show your Longhorn pride!

Senior Night, October 30th!
Senior families, be sure to check your emails for a Senior Night specific email that was sent out detailing all the exciting activities for our Seniors!
For our Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior band families, we are asking for your help in making Senior Night special!
- We will need volunteers to sign up to help serve dinner and dessert on Senior Night. Please visit the link to the Senior Night Dessert Bar Sign Up and bring a dessert to help with the celebrations and festivities of the evening.
- Please check the Volunteer Sign Ups for the Senior Night football game and sign up to volunteer. Our Senior parents will be enjoying the evening and show from the stands that night. Volunteer slots will go live in Booster Hub the Sunday evening before the game.

Our long awaited, highly anticipated Charleston Wrap fundraiser is now live! Our fundraising goal is $7,000. The number of chaperones needed will vary based on the number of students attending the trip. Chaperones will be reviewed by school administration and are subject to a background check. NOTE: If your student has a school safety plan, it is highly recommended by our administration that these students have a parent accompany them as a chaperone for additional support.

Percussion Updates!
If you would like to know a little more about Lanier Indoor Percussion, please attend our interest meeting on October 27th at 6pm, after our Fall Concert Dress Rehearsal, where we will discuss comp dates, the audition process, and reveal the show theme! All indoor dates are already on the band calendar.
Lanier Indoor Percussion is open to anyone looking to march during the winter months. Our first clinic is November 4th from 2:30pm-4:30pm. Pick up an audition packet in the band room or online at this link.
