Reminder; drop off and pick up is always in the upper parking lot. There are many different activities that occur throughout the year, and the school entrance should remain clear to keep the students safe.
Friday, October 3rd Game Day @ Milton!
* If staying after school, Students should wait in the band HALLWAY or outside the band hallway entrance. You will not have access to the band room until 4:00pm.
*Preorder (if available) your meal via the QR code in the band room or bring money for concessions.

- Students load trailers - percussion and leadership help pit crew load the props and equipment

5:35 pm Uniform Inspection
- Inspection includes - marching uniform, show shirt, black socks, black marching shoes, water bottle, flip folder with stands tunes, instrument if not on trailer.
5:45 pm Final Announcements + Dismissal to Busses

Game Day Volunteers!
Free Game Admission:
For home football games, your free entry will be confirmed by your name on the Band Volunteer List provided to the Stadium Front Gate Attendants each week. Simply give your name, and they will check the list for your free admission. Lanyards will not provide free entry this year.
Chaperones:
- Please report to the Band Room by 5:00 PM.
- Kristina Hargett (Color Guard Parent) will distribute the Chaperone Lanyards.
- Be sure to return your lanyard to Kristina at the end of the game as we need to reuse them each week.
Concessions:
- Your contact is Claire Sammander, VP of Concessions.
- Note: There are no lanyards for concessions this year.
- First Half Volunteers: Pre-game, 1st & 2nd quarters (Report time 5:00PM)
- Second Half Volunteers: 3rd & 4th quarters + post-game clean-up (Report time halftime)

Concessions For Home Games!
This year we implemented a rotation for Concession Volunteers for our home games. (If you enjoy volunteering with concessions, please continue to do so! We appreciate you all so much! However, concessions is one of the highest volume activities for every home game and requires a larger number of volunteers to keep things running smoothly.) Therefore, each band section has been assigned a home game for parents to volunteer and help with our concessions.
The concession rotation for our next home game will be:
HOME GAMES
Section Assigned to Volunteer for Concessions
1st half volunteers - pre-game and 1st and 2nd quarters
2nd half volunteers - 3rd and 4th quarters and post game clean-up
Oct 9 - vs. Johns Creek
1st half volunteers - Brass - Sousaphone
2nd half volunteers - Brass - Baritone / Trumpet 12th grade
2025-2026 Parking Passes Still Available!
Parking Passes are still available for Friday night games. The cost is $40.00 for your own space in the band lot, right next to the stadium. The pass is valid for the remainder of the season! Visit Booster Hub Store to purchase your pass today!
Special Upcoming Fundraiser - 100% Student Dues Profit - Petit Le Mans 10/9-10/11!
We have an upcoming special fundraiser that will be 100% student dues profit! That’s right, 100% of money earned goes to pay student dues! We have an opportunity to work the Annual Motul Petit Le Mans Race at Michelin Raceway - Road Atlanta, the weekend of October 9th - 11th!
When: Thursday 10/9 - Saturday 10/11
Time: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm each day
Location: Michelin Raceway - Road Atlanta, 5300 Winder Highway, Braselton GA 30517
Additional Details:
- Students and family members aged 15+ can attend, must be available to work the whole day.
- 100% of the earnings ($120 each day) will be credited to the represented student's account.
- Assignments could include parking attendee, concessions, ticket sales, and more. Assignments provided once on-site.
- Shirts and/or safety vests will be provided, as well as plenty of water and breaks. Food not provided. Khaki colored shorts or pants are preferred. No sweatpants or ripped/decorative pants.
If you have any questions, or you or anyone in your family wishes to work the race on any of these days, please email Melanie at melanieb_04@yahoo.com no later than October 5th to be added to the roster. Remember, these funds will go 100% toward your students' dues (keep in mind upcoming concert dues, band trip, etc).
Tickets Now On Sale: 2025 Adult Prom - Winter Wonderland Ball!
Tickets are now on sale for the Winter Wonderland Ball: 2025 Adult Prom. Visit: Winter Wonderland Ball Tickets on Booster Hub to take advantage of the early bird pricing. Invite your friends and family! This event is open to everyone 21 years and older!
It will be an evening full of snowflakes and sparkles with all your Lanier Band family!

- Where: Peachtree Pointe at Lake Lanier Islands - 7000 Lanier Islands Pkwy, Buford, GA 30518 (You will NOT have to pay the Lake Lanier gate fee)
Evening includes:
- Three-course dinner
- Non-alcoholic drinks (cash bar onsite)
- A night full of music and dancing
Early Bird Special - Purchase your tickets now to receive the reduced price of $60 per person. Must be 21 and over to attend. Tickets will not be sold at the door, no exceptions.
In addition, the Legacy Lodge at Lake Lanier has a room block with discounted rates for all Winter Wonderland Ball attendees who would prefer to stay the night at the resort instead of driving home. Below are the room block details.

The number of chaperones needed will vary based on the number of students attending the trip. Chaperones will be reviewed by school administration and are subject to a background check. NOTE: If your student has a school safety plan, it is highly recommended by our administration that these students have a parent accompany them as a chaperone for additional support.

What are the payment options? *Student band dues must be current to attend the trip.*

Guard Updates!
We are excited about the upcoming Winter Guard season! If you confirmed your participation, the $100 deposit will be invoiced via Booster Hub and is due October 2. For those of you who are not sure yet, we ask for you to decide in the next few weeks so we can plan for the season. Let Detrick know when you are ready to commit! It's going to be an exciting season! (The schedule, including updated competition information, has been posted in the Band App. Please email Christine Coate at xtine.cc@gmail.com if you need help locating it or if you have questions.)
Percussion Updates!
If you would like to know a little more about Lanier Indoor Percussion, please attend our interest meeting on October 27th at 6pm, after our Fall Concert Dress Rehearsal, where we will discuss comp dates, the audition process, and reveal the show theme! All indoor dates are already on the band calendar.
Lanier Indoor Percussion is open to anyone looking to march during the winter months. Our first clinic is November 4th from 2:30pm-4:30pm. Audition material will be available no later than Tuesday, September 30th. You can find a copy in the band room or online at this link.
