Reminder; drop off and pick up is always in the upper parking lot.  There are many different activities that occur throughout the year, and the school entrance should remain clear to keep the students safe.

Away Game Schedule - August 22nd

*Eat Dinner before you report to school. If staying after school, please wait in the band HALLWAY or outside the band hallway entrance. You will not have access to the band room until 4:00pm. 

(Times might be subject to slight change) 

4:30pm Report Time  

• Students load trailers - percussion and leadership load the percussion equipment and large instruments

5:15pm In Commons with your section (circle up)

5:35pm Uniform Inspection 

• Inspection includes - show shirt, water bottle, flip folder with stands tunes, instrument if not on trailer.
• When we switch to full uniform, it will include: Marching Uniform, show shirt, black socks, black marching shoes. 

5:45pm Final Announcements + Dismissal to Busses

Concessions For Home Games!

This year we are implementing a rotation for Concession Volunteers for our home games.  If you enjoy volunteering with concessions, please continue to do so!  We appreciate you all so much!  However, concessions is one of the highest volume activities for every home game and requires a larger number of volunteers to keep things running smoothly.  Therefore, each band section has been assigned a home game for parents to volunteer and help with our concessions.

HOME GAMES

1st half volunteers - pre-game and 1st and 2nd quarters

2nd half volunteers - 3rd and 4th quarters and post game clean-up

Our second half volunteers are just as important as our first half.  If you volunteer to work the second half please arrive at your determined start time to relieve the first half volunteers.  

All Volunteer slots will be set up in Booster Hub one week prior to the Friday night game.  Volunteering is fun and where parents build community within the band family!

Lanier Bands Spirit Wear!

It’s not too late to place your order for this year’s Spirit Wear!  Lanier Longhorn Bands has moved our Spirit Wear Store to Pipe Dream Prints!  We will have a full spirit wear offering throughout the season.  Check out the current summer sale items available for pre-purchase through August 24th.  Items will be delivered to Mrs. Wilson-Fields for distribution the week of September 8th.

2025-2026 Parking Passes Still Available!

Our guard is hosting a pop-up popcorn sale this week (Mon-Fri) to raise money for both their dues as well as new equipment for the fall and winter season. There will be an informational meeting for Winter Guard on September 11 after practice.  More information to come!

Tickets for the Sawyer Brown Concert at The Bowl!

Wow, Fuel put on such a great show at The Bowl!  Want tickets to the next show?  Volunteer slots for the upcoming Sawyer Brown performance are now live on BoosterHub!

In order to receive the tickets, parents must set-up and break down the chairs.  There should be one person participating for each ticket.  More details can be found in Booster Hub under the volunteer opportunity.

Marchers should make plans to assist with the chairs to earn Community Service hours. Volunteer slots for each upcoming show will open in Booster Hub one month prior to the concert date. 

Percussion Updates!

The Drumline's performance at the Mall of Georgia's Movie Under the Stars was a huge success. Thanks to everyone that helped make that happen.

Spirit Night!

Join us Wednesday, August 20th from 5:00 - 9:00 PM for our next Spirit Night at Raising Cane’s Mall of GA location!  Enjoy some delicious chicken fingers and laughs with your friends in the band family all while supporting the band!  Our Drumline will perform at 5:30 PM so you don’t want to miss out!  15% of the proceeds go to the band!

Parents’ Night Out!

Join us for our next Parents’ Night Out on September 20 at 6:30 pm by Indio Brewery in Downtown Sugar Hill!  Parents’ Night Out is a great way to meet fellow parents with kids in the Lanier Band program and make new friends!  This is a casual, drop in type of  event where everyone comes as they are and spends time with friends.  9th Grade parents, this is a great way to meet other parents with students in the Marching Band.   We look forward to seeing you all there!
