Pit Crew Info

Looking for vehicle washing tools and supplies and a few good volunteers! On July 20th, we're planning on having the kids wash the trailers at Lanier High School. We're asking for a few parents to supervise kids to make sure no irresponsible hijinks happen. We will need washing brushes, sponges, buckets, soap, etc. in order for the kids to make these trailers look spic and span. Thank you in advance!

A HUGE thank you to everyone that showed up this past Saturday. We had a fantastic turn out and managed to get quite a bit done. Still looking for more volunteers to help with decorating and bringing these props to life. If you have any sort of artistic interest or trait, come on out on the 27th and show us what you can do! I cannot thank you all enough for coming out and working in that punishing sun, we are getting so much accomplished and I know the kids will be estatic when we finish with these props.

Celebrating Volunteers!

We appreciate our Volunteers! As a thank you to all our volunteers, we will hold a special drawing at the end of Band Camp for everyone who volunteers or brings a meal for our staff! You could win a gift card and/or tickets to an upcoming show at the Eagle Theater!

Volunteers Needed!

We need volunteers for Band Camp! Volunteer to hang with kids and keep them hydrated, or to provide a meal for our instructors. Find opportunities here: https://app.boosterhub.com/volunteer

Supplies Needed

Families, please use the link to select two items to donate for band camp. Items can be dropped off at the 9th grade parent meeting, summer training days, or the first day of band camp! Thank you to those who have already donated water!!! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0445ABA729A7FC1-49836402-lanier#/

Fundraising

Fan Pledge kicks off July 26! This is a telethon-like event allows us to generate donations from our network of fans. This is an incredible fundraiser opportunity for our band and we are excited about this year.

We are asking each member to gather 20 phone numbers AND email addresses of family, friends, and other potential donors willing to support the member’s campaign. Your contacts are strictly private and protected, and never sold or shared. We will only use them for this fundraiser and nothing further.

Students will be contacting their loved ones and friends during a 40-minute Live Campaign. Give them a heads up that you’ll be calling.

Fans will have the opportunity to make a pledge to their favorite member and leave a message of encouragement on their Fan-Pledge wall. This will allow us to generate funds in a short amount of time without all the volunteer hours or selling/delivering cookie dough. It is important that every member participates to help us reach our goal. Fundraiser money goes straight to members to help with lesson scholarships, transportation, recruitment, contest entry fees, awards, parties, and more. Please make a great effort to get 20 unique phone numbers AND email addresses by the deadline. Members will be eligible for incentives and prizes for having their contacts ready to load.

Brainstorm … Friends, Family (anywhere in the country), Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles, Neighbors, colleagues, friends of the family, coaches, business owners, Doctors, Dentists, church members, professionals. Avoid teachers and administrators as many are duplicated by students.

Sign up for Kroger's Community Rewards program! Visit Kroger's website to sign up. Search for Lanier Band Booster Association. 4% of your weekly Kroger spend on groceries will be donated to the band automatically!

Shoe Drive - next shoe drop off is During Band Camp

The goal is to collect 25 pairs of shoes per marcher. The section that fills all bags provided or more will win a game truck and dinner experience for their entire section!

All shoes are donated to a non profit organization that provides shoes to developing countries to create job opportunities. The band receives $0.50 per pair of shoes shoe collection ends on 7/30. Winners will be announced 7/31. The goal is to collect funds to provide game day meals for the entire band. Donate at band practice or band camp.

Currently, the woodwinds are in the lead with 225 pairs! Followed by percussion with 200 pairs, brass with 175 pairs, guard with 125 pairs!
